Honor Blackman Honor Blackman has had a long and varied career in films, television and films, although everyone particularly remembers "Cathy Gale," the original partner of Steed in THE AVENGERS, and "Pussy Galore" in the Bond Film GOLDFINGER.

Her many other films include LIFE AT THE TOP, MOMENT TO MOMENT, QUARTET, SO LONG AT THE FAIR, and THE VIRGIN AND THE GYPSY. Honor's West End appearances include WAIT UNTIL DARK, WHO KILLED SANTA CLAUS? and THE DEEP BLUE SEA. She also appeared as "Desiree Amfeldt" in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC both at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter and on a national tour. Again at the Northcott she played Millament in THE WAY OF THE WORLD and then coupled the two parts of "Lady Uttterwood in HEARTBREAK HOUSE and "Lady Windermere" in LORD ARTHUR SAVILLE'S CRIME on a tour for Triumph Theatre Productions. She played the title role in ROSE at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, followed by a national tour.

At the Apollo Victoria Theatre Honor appeared as "Elsa Schrader" in the THE SOUND OF MUSIC. She played the lead "Elizabeth Harris" in FOXTROT at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, followed by a short tour with Triumph Theatre Productions. Her next part was "Mother Miriam Ruth" in AGNES OF GOD at the Greenwich Theatre. Throughout 1986 Honor played the starring role of "Peggy Porterfield" at the Palace Theatre in ON YOUR TOES.

Honor then spent most of 1987 at the Fortune Theatre as "Mother Superior" in the musical NUNSENSE. She returned to launch her first highly acclaimed one woman show THE LIFE AND TIMES OF YVETTE GUILBERT which toured Britain and culminated in a season at the Edinburgh Festival.

Following a successful run playing "Lady Sneerwell" in Chichester Festival Theatre's 1995 production of SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL. Honor presented a documentary for Workhouse TV/Meridian about Brighton which formed part of A TALE OF THREE SEASIDE TOWNS. She then recorded THE ENTERTAINERS for Mike Mansfield Television /Carlton in which she talked aabout her life and work. Other presenting work includes HOLIDAY for BBC, WHEELNUTS for STV and COLLECTORS LOT for Channel 4. She then went on to appear in OLD WORLD at The Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke, THE GLASS MENAGERIE playing the role of Amanda at York Theatre Royal, and in 200 performed the role of Madame Alexandre in MADEMOISELLE COLOMBE for the Birmingham Stage Company. Her third one woman show, WAYWARD WOMEN continues to tour nationally.

Honor has been seen by television audiences as "Laura West" in six series of the highly successful comedy THE UPPER HAND. Other appearances in recent years have included the role of "Joy Adamson" in the feature film TO WALK WITH LIONS, as herself on THE ARMANDO IANUCCI SHOW, a guest lead in the BBC serial DOCTORS, "Margaret Smith" in THE SIGHT for Twentieth Century Fox, Penny Husband-Bosworth in BRIDGET JONES' DIARY for Working Title Films, Jewel in JACK AND THE BEANSTALK with Matthew Modine for CBS, the feature film JACK BROWN AND THE CURSE OF THE CROWN with Daniella Nardini and Owen Teale, and Van Eyre in Steve Coogan's DOCTOR TERRIBLE'S HOUSE OF HORRIBLE for Baby Cow/BBC. Honor played the role of Edith in the radio premiere of THREE MEN ON A PLANE for Radio 4, Lady Wellington in the series THE AMERICAN EMBASSY for Twentieth Century Fox, a guest appearance on MIDSOMER MURDERS for Bentley Productions and has appeared in THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES in the West End. Honor has also filmed THE ROYAL for YTV.
